Rob Mitchell

Executive Director

Rob Mitchell serves as the Executive Director of ATLAS Ministry. Rob served previously as a member of its Board of Directors, and comes to ATLAS feeling led by God to this ministry. Rob’s career experiences have provided a strong foundation for this position. He has previously served as an officer in the U.S. Navy and as an executive with the Walt Disney Company over a 20 year period. Rob has also served as President of Reynolds Plantation and as a partner with a community development group. Rob is a graduate of Georgia Tech, received a Masters Degree in Management from Rollins College, and graduated from the Harvard Business School Program for Management Development. Rob competed as a member of the U.S. Olympic Canoe and Kayak Team in Munich, Germany. He and his wife, Karen, moved from Orlando to Greene County in 1999, and they thoroughly enjoy living in this area. Karen is also very active with ATLAS as a volunteer focused on our Early Childhood Initiative. Rob and Karen have three grown children, all married, and two grandsons.
