The vision is to enable good students to create pathways for their future without undue financial burden.
The Lawton Family Scholarship ran from 2016 through 2025 and invested in the futures of over 30 students over the 10 years. In 2023, Greg Lawton passed away after a hard fought battle with cancer. In honor of he and his wife Anna Lawton, ATLAS is now continuing their legacy with a new scholarship opportunity that will continue to pour into the futures of students throughout Greene County for years to come!
Students who receive the ATLAS Greg Lawton Scholarship also receive the benefit of mentoring throughout their education. This includes students who pursue technical degrees as well as those who enroll in 4-year degree programs.
Deadlines :
The scholarship Application will be open until February 28th, 2026 is open to all graduating Seniors living in Greene County and attending a Greene County High School.
Eligibility:
In order to be considered, applicants MUST have been involved in the ATLAS Continuum for a minimum of 3 consecutive years between 7th grade and Senior year, or a minimum of 2 years during their high school career.
*Eligibility increases with depth and longevity of involvement.

Since 2016,

deserving students have received the Greg Lawton ATLAS Scholarship.
Collectively, the existing Scholars have achieved marked success at their colleges, compiling a GPA of 3.5 or better, exceeding the requirement of a 3.0 to maintain the scholarship.

The Greg Lawton ATLAS Family Scholarship is open to any qualified graduating senior in Greene County who is a current or past participant in an ATLAS program. Students may apply online beginning January 1, 2026. The deadline to submit applications is February 28, 2026.
