TO LEADERS

Target:

Experiential Learning and a Community of Growing Leaders

The Early Leaders program develops a culture of growth and high expectations for students among their peers and younger students. Beginning in middle and high school students are trained in real life experiences that allow them to learn, grow, make mistakes, and lead right where they are - all while under the mentorship of ATLAS staff. As older students lead younger students, they get a chance to use their talents in a real world setting while inspiring the younger students to strive towards their own potential. Beginning in 9th grade, students apply for a paid position which comes with progressively greater responsibility AND accountability as they are equipped to lead with confidence and competence throughout ATLAS and their individual spheres of influence.

High School LEADERS

High School Early Leaders are hand selected based on ATLAS involvement and character attributes needed to uphold the standard of excellence within the program as a whole. Students advance through Entry Level, Intermediate, and Advanced Leaders which all come with different levels of responsibility, accountability, and pay structure. Field experience may be within the ATLAS programs OR in the community in a field which aligns with that students giftedness and passion. Regardless of whether their experience comes within ATLAS or in the field, every Early Leader experience weekly training modules designed to instill the professionalism and skills needed to support a stronger workforce for this community.

Middle School LEADERS

Middle school Early Leaders are also hand selected from the THRIVE Core team and are given the opportunity to join the high school team as leaders in training. They primarily serve in supportive & observational roles within established programs such as Academy as they are acclimated into the culture fueled by their high school peers.

ATLAS Residency Program

As the capstone of the Early Leaders Program, the ATLAS Leadership Residency is designed to give young adults two years of guidance, training, and experience that will elevate them into their future endeavors with the skills they need to excel, lead within their community, and pursue their God-given purpose in confidence. Young adults are able to join the ATLAS team where they are given a great deal of responsibility and independence while working under coaches and mentors every step of the way.

In addition to the professional learning environments, there are also numerous educational components, each geared toward the growth of the residents. While some are focused on professional competencies, others are aimed at personal growth. Throughout the two-year program, each resident will complete 6 seminars including the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Financial Peace, Toastmasters, and others, all coordinated by the Resident Coordinator.
